RING GROUP

 

  1. Go to the  PORTAL>USERS>RINGGROUP

  1. Add ring group

. Create an identifiable name and assign it an extension. In the example below, new clients call into a configured number that directs to 504. All of the numbers in the list start ringing except for extension 500. That extension is on a 10-second ring delay. After 30 seconds, which is 20 seconds after extension 500 has had a chance to answer, and 30 seconds for everyone else, this call will be directed to extension 505. Click Add Group to save changes.

 

 

  1. Ring Groups are system users. By default, system users are hidden on the Users screen. "Hide System Users" must be unchecked in order to view the new group.

 

  1. Ring Groups can be edited or deleted from this screen. The pencil icon edits the same options shown in step #2 in this article. There are no further configurations. For more advanced options such as creating answering rules
